  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 1 1/2 cup peanut butter baking chips

For the Peanut Butter Drizzle:

  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter

Vanilla Ice Cream (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. Arrange your oven rack to the lower third position of the oven and preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 12 or 14-inch oven-safe skillet with softened butter.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk to combine the cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder. Set aside.
  3. Melt the 2 sticks of butter in a nonstick saucepan over medium-low heat (be sure not to boil). Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Add the sugar and mix well with a large spoon.
  5. Whisk each egg in a bowl and add to the saucepan one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Add the vanilla and stir to combine.
  7. Add the cocoa powder and flour mixture and mix until smooth.
  8. Add the peanut butter chips and stir to combine.
  9. Spread the batter in the skillet and bake until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out fudgy, about 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven and let the brownies cool in the skillet for 15 minutes.
  10. Meanwhile, to make the peanut butter drizzle, combine the powdered sugar, milk, and peanut butter in a small bowl and stir until well combined (add additional milk if you want a thinner consistency.

  11. Using a spoon, drizzle the peanut butter mixture over the brownies. You can also use a small Ziploc or pastry bag and cut off the end to drizzle.

  12. Top with vanilla ice cream, if desired, and enjoy!
